Experience in cross-platform computer networks including TCP/IP, Novell Netware and AppleTalk.

Oversight of Risley Hall Learning Center (Loma Linda University School of Medicine computer learning laboratory) including personnel management, technical issues, teaching, policy development and long term planning. 1995-1996.

Editorial Board, Educational Synopses in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, 1995-1996. Also, manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Monitoring.

Assistant Manager, GasNet Anesthesiology World Wide Web server, 1995-1996. GASNet includes an on-line peer review journal, an on-line textbook of anesthesiology, an anesthesiology newsgroup and references to other resources on the Internet.

Designed and built a template based tool for creating high quality, interactive, multimedia technical books without programming, 1993-1994.

Designed and built a computer interface library for accessing patient wave forms, numerics and alarms from Hewlett-Packard Component Monitoring System, 1992.

Co-founder and leader, Loma Linda University Macintosh User's Group, 1991-1996. In addition, wrote the Loma Linda University Macintosh User's Manual.

Planned and built a file server for resident physicians with extensive text resources and the best educational programs available. Personal Information

I'm 36 years old. My wife, Cindy Engel, is an environmental scientist. We have two bright, active daughters: six year old Clara, and three year old Katie. We live in the woods near Lake Arrowhead, California.

I enjoy sailing, mountaineering, mountain bike riding, passive solar design and home building.
