Welcome to the Society for Technology in Anesthesia. This page is maintained by Keith J Ruskin, MD, (and now additionally, by Gordon L.Gibby MD) and runs on the GASNet WWW Server, a Sun Microsystems Sparc 5 (SunOS 4.1.4).

The Society for Technology in Anesthesia has 260 members who receive the International Journal of Clinical Monitoring, a newsletter and a search able membership data base. STA sponsors a breakfast panel and dinner at the ASA meeting each year. STA's annual meeting is held the third week of January.


STA's Purpose

The purpose of the Society is the improvement of the quality of patient care by improving technology and its application. To this end, the Society may promote, stimulate and encourage research, study, interest, and writing in the technology of anesthesia; lend its support to and cooperate with local, national, or international organization having similar purposed; foster and arrange meetings, forums, discussions, lectures, and exhibitions, as well as issue publications and present awards; and such other purposes as are approved by the Board of Directors and memberships.


Annual Meeting

STA's annual meeting is held the third week of January.

This year's meeting will be held 16 - 18 January 1997 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!
