About AnesthesiaGUIDE
The AnesthesiaGUIDE is a comprehensive and easy-to-use practical ready-reference for anesthesiology review, teaching and practice. The intended audience for this program includes practicing anesthesiologists, residents, medical students, nurse anesthetists, teachers, and any one else who needs a handy portable computer-based summary of anesthesia practice.
AnesthesiaGUIDE is engineered for fast and intuitive subject searches. It contains a wealth of clinical algorithms and pearls for time-pressured students, residents and those preparing for certification exams. Conciseness and portability are emphasized to facilitate recall and continued review.
AnesthesiaGUIDE, though modest in disk space requirements, is an extensive work. It contains 35 chapters with more than 725 topics ( >1000 printed pages) covering anesthesia practice. The program interface is quite simple, yet it offers several methods for topic searches.
The AnesthesiaGUIDE was designed and authored by Allen G. Gruber, MD as a three-year educational project. It was well-received as an interactive exhibit at the 1995 IARS Annual Scientific Meeting. Several program features are the result of direct feedback from anesthesiologists about what they wanted to have in a computerized reference work.
